question

How long does the hair have to be to get a wax?

answer

About 3 weeks of hair growth or 1/4 long for the first wax. The longer the better for the first one so the wax has something to grab on too.

question

What type of wax do you use?

answer

I only use hard wax. This type of wax only adheres to the hair and not the skin. This is less painful than strip wax because it only pulls the hair and not the skin with it. Hard wax can be used over the same area if needed and does not damage the skin or remove skin like the strip wax does.

question

Can I wax while on my period?

answer

Yes, please wear a tampon. You may be a little more sensitive during this because of the extra hormones that will be in the body during your cycle.

question

Will it make my hair grow back thicker?

answer

No, absolutely not. Waxing does not cause you to grow more follicles. If you become the regular waxer you will notice finer hair and less!

question

Will I be perfectly smooth after my first wax?

answer

It's possible but not probable. Some clients are smooth as a baby's bottom after there first wax experience. However it is common that after the first 2-3 waxings you may feel a little bit of stubble. This occurs most frequently with clients that have coarse, dark hair and is common with leg waxes. The reason for the stubble is because we have 3 different cycles, each lasting about 28 days. It takes a few services for your hairs to all grow out long enough and it will eventually become 1 cycle.

question

How long does it take to do a Brazilian wax?

answer

It all depends on the client. Usually 15-30 minutes. The first one takes the longest and the monthly up keep is much faster.

question

How much does a Brazilian hurt?

answer

The first waxing is always the most uncomfortable. But I think the anticipation is the worst part. You can always take a pain reliever before hand to help take the edge off. Once your first time is over you now know what to expect and the hair root is no longer at its strongest so it's much easier. Plus we always keep chatting and there's even tv to watch to help keep your mind off the discomfort. Before you know it..... You're done!

question

Why should I wax?

answer

Waxed hair grows back smooth and fine unlike the prickly stubble shaving leaves you. It will also last you weeks versus only a day if your lucky with shaving. You are weakening and damaging the hair root to the point that eventually it can't produce hair any more.

question

Can I shave between my waxings?

answer

Please don't. When you start shaving you are giving the hair root time to strengthen and you will put your self right back to square one, it will feel like your first wax all over again after shaving.

question

How long between waxings do I come back?

answer

Typically 4-6 weeks. The hair isn't to short or too long during this time period. The longer the hair the more it hurts so don't wait months! I have a wonderful touch up service price to keep you hair free and comfortable.
